DEADLINE: 31 January 2024
COST: Free!
On 30 April 2023, an exotic crocodile found in Lin Fa Tei, Pat Heung was transferred from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) to Ocean Park. The crocodile is a female, measuring approximately 1.9m in length and weighing around 35kg. It is estimated that she is around four years old and is not a native species to Hong Kong. Currently, the crocodile is staying in the Park’s back-of-house facilities under the attentive care of our professional caretakers. The good news is that she will soon become part of the Ocean Park family, with a mission to safeguard Hong Kong’s ecosystem!
Since the crocodile’s transfer to Ocean Park, she has yet to be named. Now, we’re asking you to help us think of the perfect name for her! Starting from 17 January 2024, you can submit both a Chinese and English name that is both meaningful and memorable. Participants whose names are selected will have the chance to win prizes valued at a total of over HK$40,000. Act now to submit your idea!
